The Deutsches Museum in Munich is celebrating today the opening of its planetarium featuring state-of-the-art ZEISS technology. The first presentation in the planetarium was held during the official Germany start of the International Year of Light by the UN General Assembly. ZEISS provided the high-performance projection system for the new 15 meter dome that is large enough for 160 visitors.

So it’s true. Sony really now has the strategy to announce the stuff after the big shows
Next week on Wednesday March 4 at around 5-7 am London time Sony will announce the new 24-240mm FE lens (this means you can preorder it the very same day). And now Digicameinfo reports that also th Zeiss FE 35mm f/1.4 and the Sony 28mm f/2.0 should be announced very soon (I Guess the same day!). As usual you cna follow the live blogging of the lens announcement on SAR (5-7am London time of March 4).
Digicameinfo and also one of my sources told me that maybe the 90mm FE macro lens will be announced as last lens in another occasion. That’s why it’s also not listed among the other lenses by the Hong Store who already accepts preorders on three new FE lenses.
The images you see here are the official product photos of the new lenses.

(SR5) New Sony FE 24-240mm will be announced next week on March 4.
Digicameinfo reports that the 24-240mm FE lens will be announced next week on Wednesday March 4. This means preorders are expected to start the very same day. Shipment is expected to start on March 12 in Japan. It’s yet unclear if Sony will also release the pricing info (and accept preorders) on the other three new lenses. Although as I reported before Hong Kong store Shenzen is already accepting preorders on the new FE lenses:
Zeiss FE 35mm f/1.4 for $1,729 (Click here to see it).
Sony FE 24-240mm lens for $1,099 (Click here to see it).
Sony FE 28mm f/2.0 lens for $459 (Click here to see it).

Luke: “Just thought that I share a short video I shot this weekend with new Zeiss 16-35 F4 on my A7s. All of the footage is handheld using Hondo Garage’s Pop and Lock (an invaluable tool that I can’t recommend enough http://ift.tt/1fZx1Ys. http://ift.tt/1JSWYXL. I am quite pleased with the results and am happy with how sharp this lens is even completely wide open.”
Bernard: “A new test has been added for the Sony A6000 with a Rokinon 7.5mm lens. For over a year, people visit the site to compare different possible combinations of cameras and lenses for panoramic photography. The addition of the Sony A6000 complements the range presented on the site. A modification was done on the Sony A6000. Improve the standard Sony E-mount with the Fotodiox TOUGH E-Mount. This all-metal mount replaces the two-part mount that comes with most Sony E-mount cameras. Of those two parts, the actual mount that holds the lens is made of plastic, which is susceptible to wear and lens movement. By removing four screws, taking out the two mount parts, and inserting the TOUGH E-Mount, you give your camera a stronger and more durable lens connection. Of all sets that have been tested by quebecpanorama, the Sony A6000 with Rokinon 7.5mm lens is the one that offers the best value for money. The impressive quality, coupled with the ease of transportation, seduced us, so it became the official QuébecPanorama set. http://ift.tt/1JSWYXP “
