Sony launches a teaser for the FE 16-35mm f/4.0 Zeiss announcement.

Sony Japan posted the teaser for the new 16-35mm f/4.0 FE lens. The lens will be announced along the 28-135mm Powerzoom. Announcement date could be September 12 (E-mount 4K launch) or the day before Photokina (September 15).

It's Lens-Porn time: First image of the Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 world class lens.

The guys from SAR leaked the full specs of the new world class leader and premium lens-porn Zeiss Otus! A premium gadget mortals actually don't need but you know, there will be always some people ready to spend $4,000 to get the best!

The lens will come in Canon/Nikon mount and therefore it will be perfectly useable with adapter on any of the current digital mirrorless systems.

I will wait to get the 4 times cheaper Sigma version which is rumored to come out next year :)

What initially looks like a brightly-colored forest is actually a blueschist from Aosta Valley, Italy. The rock is made of glaucophane, epidote and phengte. Its beauty was revealed under a ZEISS Axioscope.
