Brian: “The photographic artist, Carol Roullard, will be one of the featured artists at the HUD Gallery in Ventura, California. All her images were taken with a Sony A77 camera mounted on a microscope. She will display three large, 24” by 36” aluminum prints and several smaller pieces of her Micro-Crystal fine art photography. Her images are unique recordings of the minute crystals she grows and illuminates with polarized light. After years of experimentation, Ms. Roullard found that the Sony cameras were the best interchangeable lens cameras for recording high-resolution images of minute crystals. She has co-authored four Sony camera books and is currently working on her fifth book on the Sony a7 II camera. Examples of her work can be seen by visiting her web site http://ift.tt/1OGgZxQ.
The show starts on Friday, June 5th with the show reception from 6-10pm and runs through the end of the month. For those who will be in Southern California during June, the HUD Gallery is at 1793 East Main Street Ventura, California 93001. Check out their website for more information: http://ift.tt/1Q8sggs;

95 films from 18 countries were screened on the dome of the ZEISS Planetarium in Jena from 27 to 30 May. Audiences were wowed by the 360-degree productions shown on the approx. 830 square meter projection surface. Alongside full-dome features, the program also featured expert workshops and presentations. ZEISS has been sponsoring the prizes for the best student submissions of the festival since 2008. This special event provides a platform for the latest productions in full-dome format. It also allows for new directions to be tested in the artistic, scientific and receptive adaptation of this medium which is still in its infancy.

Lovely fake rumor: A-E mount hybrid from Zeiss :)
Sometimes I admire fake rumor creators for their fantasy. So let’s award that guy who wrote he is a Zeiss manager and shared details about that Zeiss cameras:
“Recently, we have acquired a new sony model. The buttons and badges were stripped off. The guts were removed as well. Now, but what I did notice was this particular body was a little bit larger than the A7ii and did seem pretty look pretty identical. The thing that stuck out the most was the new mount. I notice it had a new shape and testing out some lenses, it was surprisingly able to fit both A and E mount lenses! This could be the A7 series older brother.”
LOL!
