Micropia in Amsterdam: discover a hidden kingdom in newly opened museum
Micropia is the first museum in the world to reveal the world of microscopically small life. Thanks to ZEISS microscopes visitors learn how microbes behave, feed and reproduce.
The focus is placed on the mostly positive relationship between microbes and the visitors themselves. Various stations such as an interactive body scanner or the Kiss-O-Meter illustrate where microbes are found on the body and how they are transferred. Microscopes from ZEISS help visitors observe and discover the numerous bacteria, fungi and algae.
