Taken with a Sony NEX 7 with a Nanoha X5 macro lens from Japan. The subject was already dead.

DOF is wafer thin and this is a stacked image from 32 images;

2 x SB900 (1/125 +0.3 EV) Piece of white cardboard bridging the two on top as a bounce reflector.

Sony is the only company without a product announcement at CP+. Your thoughts?

Well, Sony decided to literally skip the CP+ show and is as far as I know the only major photo company not having announced a new camera or lens. But also the other companies kept a low profile (Read Engadget articles about that). Canon’s 5ds will ship in June only and all other manufacturers did show many prototypes and much less “real” production cameras.


Just like it happened with the A7II launch Sony seems to prefer to launch major stuff off the big show to get more publicity. And here is the question to our SAR readers:
