Sony is the only company without a product announcement at CP+. Your thoughts?
The Zeiss 35mm FE cut in half at CP+ Sony booth (Source: Matthew Allard).
Well, Sony decided to literally skip the CP+ show and is as far as I know the only major photo company not having announced a new camera or lens. But also the other companies kept a low profile (Read Engadget articles about that). Canon’s 5ds will ship in June only and all other manufacturers did show many prototypes and much less “real” production cameras.
Just like it happened with the A7II launch Sony seems to prefer to launch major stuff off the big show to get more publicity. And here is the question to our SAR readers:

Newsshooter FE lens hands-on videos.
Newsshooter at CP+ Tokyo 2015- Sony Distagon T* FE 35mm F1.4 ZA First Look from Matthew Allard ACS on Vimeo.
Reminder: Without a single word Sony decided to postponed the FE lens launch. Back at Photokina the first shipment was promised to be in February. And even their current Sony Japan site advertise the new lenses. But at Cp+ Sony decided to not answer any question about that. Anyway, the real pricing and shipment announcement should come very soon as reported by DC.watch.
The Sony FE lenses at the Sony booth:
Newsshooter writes about the Zeiss FE 35mm f/1.4 lens:
The new lens felt very solid in the hand and although not a light lens it did not feel unbalanced on a Sony a7. The lens features a 72mm front and comes with a nice lens hood. From the limited time I had using the lens I was left with a positive impression. It is very sharp, produces nice bokeh and seems to have good control of chromatic aberration and vignetting.
Newsshooter also posted a Sony 28mm f/2.0 Hands-on video and writes:
The build quality is fair, but not in the same class as the 35mm F1.4 FE ZE. From my quick play with the lens, it optically looked pretty good. It also had pretty close focus ability that I estimated to be around the 30cm mark. Once you put the adapters on expect a drop in optical performance. The Ultra Wide Adapter had quite a lot of barrel distortion and definitely looked a little softer in the corners. The Fish Eye Adaptor does produce minor vignetting in full frame mode.
