ZEISS employees' children recently spoke about what's behind these numbers in the new ZEISS Forum in Oberkochen, Germany. They received the scholarship for an exchange year and traveled to Brazil, the USA, China or Italy, to name but a few. "The scholarship is intended to enable ZEISS employees' children to discover new things and to engage with other people and cultures," explains Franz Donner, Head of Corporate Human Resources.
ZEISS employees' children can apply for the scholarship once a year. ZEISS organizes the student exchange program in conjunction with the non-profit association AFS "Intercultural Programs". AFS has been developing intercultural educational programs for school students for over 50 years. In recent years, over 54 children have spent a year abroad through the ZEISS scholarship for employees' children.

New SLR Magic Apo-HyperPrime CINE 50mm T2.1 tested on the A7s.
SLR Magic Apo-HyperPrime CINE 50mm T2.1 – short review from Hacky on Vimeo.
3D-Kraft (Click here) tested the new SLR Magic Apo-HyperPrime CINE 50mm T/2.1 lens on the A7s. This is a PL mount lens but of very high interest for all Cine shooters looking for a cheaper alternative of the otherwise very expensive Zeiss or Schneider lenses. 3D-Kraft writes:
The first member of a new Apo-HyperPrime CINE lens family provides optical performance close to the stellar ZEISS FE Sonnar 1.8/55 with better apochromatic correction. The housing, focus and aperture operation are highly optimized for video applications. The aperture blades can be stopped down keeping out-of-focus highlights still nicely round (see the the starting image of the video as an example – it was shot with a second Apo HyperPrime CINE 50/T2.1 at T2.8). This lens is ready for 6K!

Sony "silently" introduced the curved sensor on the KW1. Curved Full Frame RX coming soon!
The first curved sensor camera is that "Selfie" Sony KW1 camera made for the Asian market.
A couple of months ago Sony announced that they had two curved sensors ready fro mass production. The first one is made for compact cameras and Mr.Aoki just confirmed the "weird" KW1 selfie camera is the first one using that!
The second curved sensor is Full Frame and now it's really easy to guess it's coming very soon! This should be the long time rumored Full Frame RX with 30+ Megapixel curved sensor and fixed lens 35mm f/1.8 Zeiss!

(SR3) Rumor about a medium format Sony surfaces (again)
Image of a Mamiya 7 (here on eBay) from Roma Nikolaev.
Also Photorumors got word (reliable?) on a Sony medium format camera coming the coming 12 months. Nothing new as this rumor is floating on the web since months now (see article here). My sources once told me the Sony medium Format Camera is a sort of digital Mamiya 7 (here on eBay). But the camera should look better and be smaller. So here are the specs/details rumored so far:
– Fixed lens RX camera
– Zeiss prime (35mm FF equivalent)
– 50 megapixel sensors (same used by new Hasselblad/PhaseOne/Pentax medium formats)
– Built-in EVF
– Smaller and cheaper(!) than any other medium format cameras out there. It’s cheaper than the new Pentax 645
All we know from recent interviews is that Sony said such a camera “is possible” to make for Sony and they also stressed to say that they have unique innovative products to come in 2015. Let’s hope this one is one of them!
