(SR2) Some possible RX2 zoom lens specs.

I am very confident we will soon get a new RX camera with curved sensor and 35mm f/1.8 Zeiss lens. But according to an anonymous (and new source) there could be a second RX FF camera with a zoom lens and “classic” non curved sensor. He says the new RX2 will feature the same A7r 36 MP sensor and have a 35-70mm f/2.8 compact zoom lens.

Like I said, this is a new source so take it with a grain of salt. As a side note: Sony itself said it’s very difficult to design zoom lenses for a curved sensor so that could be the reason why such a camera still uses the normal flat sensor.

Paul:Hello! I’ve made an A77m2 review. It’s in russian, so not very useful for SAR readers, but it has great pictures with noise tests using different kinds of processing. JPEG, multoshot and RAW using DXO. Looks very impressive, appears that ISO up to 6400 is perfectly usable. The review address is http://ift.tt/1ovyY0a

Peter:Thought I’d share this A7S film with you! Feel free to post it on your blog. http://ift.tt/1ovyWW8

Jacob: “I posted a review about shooting weddings with the RX10 on my wife and I’s website but no actually reads our blogs. I thought it might be helpful for others. http://ift.tt/1soTwbE

Dave: “I thought you might like to have a look at, and hopefully share, A couple of Gigapixel photos I’ve recently taken with my 7r. Both were taken with a Gigapan Epic Pro head, the 7r body, and a Nikkor 180mm 2.8 ED lens. The combination of high megapixel count and the super sharp Nikkor lens is producing amazing results.

Paul:I just thought I’d share with you something that may be of interest to some users. As you know, the Phigmenttech LM-NEX adapter is the only M-mount -> E-mount adapter that provides EXIF data and focus coupling What may not be apparent is that this adapter is also the only adapter (for any lens mount -> E mount) that can provide lens profiles to the camera. I have recently updated my site and firmware that allows for easier configuration of the adapter. It is now possible to upload a sample “white wall” shot to my site and have a custom profile generated that will apply real-time vignetting (and experimentally cast) correction (It looks like there is a limit of approximately 1 stop correction). My site provides an example (sorry, research and development has taken away from my time to actually take pictures) of vignetting and cast correction.

http://ift.tt/1ovyY0i. It may be prudent to disclose that vignetting (and possibly cast) corrections ARE baked in to the raw data. (at least it is in my NEX-7 and A7R)
